New Features
- As a guest on the platform, prospective employers will now see a button on the project template pages to create a new project with the template. Clicking the button will send the user into the regular onboarding process, with the final step showing which template they’ve chosen. Once they confirm the template, they are taken to the project creation wizard where they can customize it.
Improvements
- Students now have the ability to re-apply to IP where their request is cancelled, declined, expired.
- In the message centre, pressing enter inserts a new line, and shift+enter sends the actual message. This is to avoid having to manually click send all the time.
- Any user on the Request page can sort requests by expiration date with the most recent at the top.
- Previously the project timelines did not accurately reflect project progress, as they showed not started (0%), started (50%) and completed as 100%. Clicking the start project should not represent 50% of work completed. Now when clicking “Start project” the teams status will update to “In progress” and will remain at 0% completed. If team has not started project, status will indicate “Not started” instead of “In Progress”. Progress tracking starts from the first milestone
- If a user is removed from a course/project/IP they will be removed from any associated conversations, including conversations generated by a request, conversation generated by a team starting a project.
- Employers are now required to add a midpoint milestone to their project during the post-match wizard process for all internship programs.

- Team Milestones– Previously, only educator and employer were able to create milestones for teams working on a project for a course or Internship Program. Student now have the ability to create and add their own milestones to the timeline.
Improvements
- Direct message capabilities added to the project/IP/course pages for employers and educators only, through the chat bubble on the user nametag.
- Added more information, next steps and a comparison component to the request wizard for employers and educators matching projects with courses and internship programs.

- Added the ‘highly responsive’ user property to the recommendation engine, enabling these user to be ranked higher in the search pages.
- A user creating a new course or project who selects the option "Create from template" will see a list of recommended templates, based on the categories and subcategories tagged to their profile.

- When an employer is signing up as the admin of a company, the company categories are now auto-populated by the admin's categories. The categories are editable when editing the company profile.
- Added new section on the first step of the project wizard listing what the employer will need to create a new project.
- By default content in the search pages is ordered by ‘recommended for me’, this can also be found in the sort options. When a user searches with any other tags or filters, the recommended for me filter is removed.
- When a company is created and no banner is uploaded, the company banner image is automatically assigned from a set of preselected images, based on the industry selected. If the company has several industries, it will user the first industry tagged.
- The preview step of the project wizard now shows all relevant information, including resources, files, FAQs, image carousel and video.

- An educator is now able to provide custom submission instructions for students rather than the current generic version shown across all team pages.
- A student is now able to upload more than one file to complete a milestone or a final submission.
- Added responsiveness indicator and tooltip to employer’s and educator’s nametag in the course, IP, and project libraries. Responsiveness is measured by the number of “review” requests accepted and declined by that user divided by the total number of requests they’ve received.
- Create Teams + Invite Students Wizard - provides educators with the option to form teams as they invite students, and for students to be automatically part of those teams once they accept the educator’s invite and sign up to Riipen.

- The locale fields updated in the project wizard to use the company location as the display values.
- When the application due date is upcoming, it is now shown on the internship program match card.
- The Applications column of an Internship Program’s “Projects” tab should show relevant information about the status of applications.

- Updated the wording used on the interests step of the employer sign up wizard, to provide more context as to how the interests are using in preferred content and recommendations. Also updated the next steps wording to be more clear on the create project step.

- Updated the styling of the course timeline to be collapsable on mobile.
- The Riipen marketplace now has a "Recommended for you" list for logged in users. The recommendations are based on categories of interest, browsing activity, etc.
- The custom description added by an educator in the Deliverables step of a course wizard is now reflected on all team pages for that course. It is also shown on the submission step in place of the generic instructions for students.
- On the Deliverables step of the course wizard, the final submission should have an editable Description field. This lets the educator provide submission instructions to their students.
- A team or user feedback card now has a "share" link when viewed in the dashboard. A user can share a project experience to Linkedin via individual feedback cards on their Riipen dashboard. This displays if the feedback is for a user or a team.
- Students can now see feedback in their dashboards so they know to expect it from the first interaction with the platform and can more easily find (and share) feedback they've received.

- Subcategories: Everywhere content or user preferences was previously tagged with categories it can now be tagged with subcategories. Users can search content by subcategory, and will be asked to pick up to 5 subcategories when creating new content.
- When an employer’s request is accepted, the administrators of the project receive a new email detailing the commitments, start and end dates, and other relevant details of the match.
- Educators and employers can select a reason, which is provided to the requester, when declining a request.

- Onboarding Wizard Update: Student and educator onboarding wizards updated to be a multi-step sign up wizard, making each step clear to the user.
- Educators who are an admin member of a school can edit a project, access the project wizard and save changes for projects published to their school. This means a school admin can edit a school pass holder’s project, as long as the pass holder chose to publish to their school.
- An Internship Program admin can close their Internship Program from having any more students join projects.
- Users on the projects tab of a Course page or Matches tab of an Internship Program page can now search by keyword.
- Added a keyword search box to the Students tab of a course or internship program page. Users can now search by student name.
- An Internship Program now has a setting, same as a course, where the user can set the Internship Program to "Private" to remove it from the search pages.
- Schools have a “Companies” table under their Reports tab which lists all companies they have worked with, whether the company has a school pass, and other relevant data such as the date of the first match with the school.
School Pass Usability Improvements
- To the Companies tab of a school portal, a new invitation sub-tab has been added showing the email address sent to, the name of the company, and the date the invitation was created. This shows pending invitations only.
- When creating a school pass invitation an optional message field can be filled in which is included in email invite.
- Employer sign up experience is customized to show the school prominently as a separate step during sign up and prompts them to create a project for your institution.
- A “magic link” has been added to the Invite Company options which lets you provide a single link to an unlimited number of employers. When signing up, they are automatically granted a school pass and are taken through the new customized school pass sign up experience.
- Through the existing Invite Company process, you may now select a company who is already signed up and has a school pass with your institution and can still invite them to a course and/or create a draft project for them.

- User-level feedback: in addition to showing feedback at the school and company level, feedback is now shown on educator and employer profiles that was provided by other users in past project engagements.

- School pass tracking/reporting improvements: all invitations sent to employers using the School Pass feature are now tracked and visible under the Companies tab of the school dashboard.
- School pass employer sign up improvements: when an employer is invited to Riipen via a school pass, the sign up experience is now customized to highlight the school that invited them.
- A school administrator can now send a custom message along with their school pass invitation.
- The API now includes the action to get school passes associated with a company or school.
- Start Project and Application wizards for students have been updated to address UI issues and improve copy.

- Google Single Sign On launched on September 29; a user can now sign up or log in through a Gmail account. You can even login to an existing account with Google SSO, if your existing account uses a Google email address.
Improvements
- Reconfiguration of the user notification preferences tab (https://app.riipen.com/settings/notifications) groups similar types of notifications to allow users to more easily manage what types of emails they receive.
- Recommendation emails sent to educators and employers with content they may be interested in have been updated to use more inputs, including previously viewed content, bookmarks, and users' location preferences.
- The user dashboard (https://app.riipen.com/me/dashboard) now shows more descriptive calls to action to help new users understand the most essential actions for them to take on Riipen.
