We have a level of flexibility option (very flexible, moderately, not flexible) for employer projects, but this may also be useful on the experiences side too. There was a case that emerged where an employer, after several experiences they worked with where they were allowed to slightly modify the experience scope with students, matched with an experience that had no flexibility which created some conflict when this employer thought they could deviate a bit for the sake of providing a more realistic experience for students. This may be helpful to include especially when there is a professor that wants to give students the best, most useful experiential learning experience possible, but may not know how to probe this. Given this is experiential learning, an ideal experience would run with some employer influence to better reflect the real world work. There are certainly some educators who would be opposed to this, which is why it should be entirely optional, but it may lead to a better understanding for employers about what is within their power to modify.
