Make LinkedIn achievement visuals available for learners to download and share.

Enable learners to download program-specific LinkedIn achievement visuals (animated MP4s) from the Riipen platform, alongside their existing certificates, to support social sharing and recognition of completed experiences.
Problem/opportunity:
Learners currently receive a downloadable Riipen certificate upon completing an experience and can manually share it on LinkedIn. We now have branded, animated LinkedIn achievement visuals for key Riipen programs (Labs, Level UP, FuturePath, AdON) designed specifically for LinkedIn announcement posts.
There is currently no in-platform way for learners to access these visuals, which limits adoption and would require manual, off-platform distribution.
Proposed solution:
At the completion of an experience, provide learners with access to:
-The official Riipen certificate (existing functionality)
-A downloadable, program-specific LinkedIn achievement visual (MP4)
This could live in the same area of the platform where certificates are currently accessed. Learners would download the asset and manually upload it to LinkedIn, similar to the current certificate-sharing flow.
Scope notes:
-This does not require direct LinkedIn API integration.
-Sharing would remain manual due to LinkedIn limitations.
-Assets would be program-specific (not personalized per learner).
Value:
-Encourages organic learner advocacy and social sharing.
-Increases visibility of Riipen programs on LinkedIn.
-Provides a more engaging, modern alternative to static certificate sharing.
-Aligns with existing learner behaviour and workflows.
I created a folder to house all the achievement visuals since they're too heavy for attachments. You'll find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/18pveAdig_Oj3Xqo9JjTmuYVgW3GKIeLg?usp=sharing

Jennifer Lussier What I'm proposing we do here is:
- Use the "achievements" feature for experiences, since this already supports adding custom achievements for completion at the experience level.
- Product will explore how to improve the experience of downloading and sharing Achievements to LinkedIn.
Achievements do not support animated images, so we would require a static image here rather than an animated one. Is the animation essential to the user experience?

Hi Emily Masching ,
Thank you for looking into this!
We paid our agency, Superside, to create animated certificates to help recent Riipen graduates showcase their experience in a way that stands out in the LinkedIn feed.
One possible workaround I thought of would be to display a static version of the certificate within the platform, with a link attached that directs students to download the animated version from a HS file. This would still allow the animation to be used when sharing on LinkedIn, even if the achievement itself remains static within the experience.
If that approach proves technically challenging or beyond what is feasible, we are ok proceeding with a static version for the achievement. The animation would simply be a nice enhancement to the sharing experience!
Curious to hear your thoughts on whether something along these lines could work! Thanks in advance!

Jennifer Lussier Could you give a try creating this a custom portal achievement in sandbox.riipen.com and try earning it as a user? https://help.riipen.com/en/articles/8070705-achievements
That will give you a feel for what's possible plus how it feels to earn one as a user.
What I think we'd need on top of existing functionality would be the ability to customize the notification associated with an achievement and potentially customize the "Share to LinkedIn" option for an achievement, but I'd love to get your input on the overall experience before we plan those extensions.
