Milestone Submission Notifications for Educators & Observers

Currently, educators and observers have to manually check for milestone completions. I’d like to request a new notification setting that alerts educators and observers when a milestone is submitted, similar to the notification setting option for employers. This would streamline the feedback loop and ensure educators/observers stay updated in real-time without the need for constant manual monitoring. This would be especially useful for courses where the educator needs to grade the milestone, such as DeVry.

Jennifer Wallace We have a feature in the backlog we've been wanting to do for a while which would enable a recurring digest email for educators about updates in their experience, in the following format. This could be set to send daily, weekly, or monthly. Would this address your need here?
Separate question: can you tell me about the observer use case(s) you have? We have to do some work on observers.

Emily Masching a digest email would be great! Being able to change the cadence to daily, weekly, etc. would be an ideal feature, as well. Would the digest email be something we could enable for observers or just educators?
The observer use case I have right now is that we'd like to have the faculty member for the course at DeVry not have access to matches, settings, etc. on the experience page, however, we'd like for them to be able to get notified when there are submissions to a milestone so they can grade them. At DeVry, the course/experience is coordinated by an admin team at the institution and the faculty member is just brought on for the 8 weeks of teaching (faculty member is not a part of course planning, matchmaking phase, etc.). This is why is would be ideal for them to not have educator level access but still have some of the features needed to be the instructor of the course. I hope that makes sense!

Jennifer Wallace Is that faculty member able to access all teams, or just specific ones?
Barkha Patel can you check if current experience custom role permissions do give the ability to access teams without editing the experience? If so, this may be addressed through that plus the addition of the digest email, although the ability to do this only for specific teams within the experience won't be addressed until we figure out the observer role.
Barkha Patel
Emily Masching: Yes, the current Teams permission does give the educator the ability to access teams without being able to edit the experience.
